About my dogs
Rupert - 06/07 is a 15" Beagle, I have had him at 8.5 weeks, he has a fully functioning nose. Rupert loves to get into deep brush, thicket, forests, mud, deep snow. Rupert started hiking and camping with me at 12 weeks and backpacking by 2yo, Snowshoeing at 6 months, Pulling scooters at 3.5 years. Rupert likes Tracking, Collecting Scents, Making new friends, Camping, Hiking, Backpacking, Snowshoeing, Scootering, hanging out with Sled dogs and going to the dog park. .
Kazoo 12/07 is a Alaskan Husky I adopted Kazoo when he was 3.5yo from Natures kennel in McMillan, Mi. Kazoo pulled sleds for fun at Boyne Highlands Ski Resport, Boyne Michigan, giving folks dog sled rides in the winter. Most people think Kazoo is a wolf Hybrid or Coyote. He likes walks, camping. pulling sleds and dog scooters, meeting people and he collects squeaky toys and hang out with his buddy Rupert and Brother Uke.
Uke (Ukulele) 12/07 is a Alaskan Husky, He is Kazoo's brother, I adopted Uke in 2010 from Natures kennel in McMillan, Mi. Uke is a lot more competitive and serious about pulling than Kazoo. Uke was on a NK team in the 2010 Iditarod, he also pulled tour sleds. He likes running at the dog park challenging everything with four legs to a race.
Me 06/59 Short list of Likes: backpacking, snowshoing, downhill skiing, camping, hunting, hiking, volunteering and currently am a full time college student. I got my start in scootering a little over a year ago, when my brother in law gave me his Diggler, after he found out his Siberian Huskies had genetic defects in their knees and had them replaced. I have been a volunteer at the UP200 Dog Sled Race in Marquette, Michigan since 2009, the last two races I have been the driver for the dropped dogs and musher supplies.
I will be driving in my first Dog Sled race on March 30th 2013, in the "Thrilla in McMilla race" at Natures Kennel. My boys won't be running in it, although they will get a chance to pull a sled again.
